Agia Galini is situated on the south coast of Crete, centred between the east and west coasts of the island. In the last 20 years the once sleepy fishing village has turned into a lively holyday resort. It is much loved for its position on the cliffs, for its white houses and its colourful alleyways. |

It is about 5 minutes on foot from the port to the beach (sand/gravel). You can rent parasols and sun-beds for a reasonable price there. There are also several tavernas on the beach where you can get something to eat and drink. At the port you are able to book boat trips to various destinations e. g. to the unique "Previli" beach, or a bathing and barbeque trip to the nearby "Paximadi" islands. You can find out about further destinations at the jetty. |
